Trip to India has just been postponed

First, I'd like to thank all of you who wished me well to my trip in the last journal. I should have answered it before, sorry. Anyway, thanks a lot for your words!

Now, today we came to a decision to reschedule this trip once and for all. I didn't mention this in past journals because I thought it wouldn't matter, but I was wrong. Some weeks ago our friend who's practically the idealizer of this journey needed to have a sort of tumor removed from his jaw, and his doctor said he'd have to rest as much as possible (preferably avoiding exertion) for the next 60 days. Although last week, after brainstorming about the whole situation, he concluded he could make that trip and retain himself during it, his doctor said it's dangerous to get any infection with that. So today we came to an agreement to postpone our takeoff after he's fully recovered, which may be late March or early April. The only downside of such readjustment is the extra fee on ticket prices - our tickets were originally bought at a promotional period, so we have to pay the difference they'll be costing by the time we embark.

Particularly, I'm not any disappointed. I'd be if the trip was cancelled, of course. There's this little feeling of "so close yet so far" but that's just a detail, I won't mind that at all. Besides, that also mean I'll have the four Carnaval days to myself at home instead of just Monday and the Fat Tuesday.
